Melissa was born and raised in the small town of Pleasanton, TX and has spent her adult life traveling the world in search of beautiful images. She spent a year studying in Ghent, Belgium and has traveled extensively throughout Europe as well as Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Melissa has a passion for beauty and tries to find that beauty in the most uncommon places. Her photography career began as a hobby in the basement of the academic library at St. Mary’s University where she earned her BA in English & Communication Arts.

Nature photography is what interests Melissa most, but she also enjoys shooting action-football and paintball games-and has published several photos in Paintball 2-X-Tremes magazine. She volunteers to shoot her children’s sporting activities as well as family functions and events.
